The native range of Philodendron hederaceum is Mexico to Tropical America. It is an epiphyte and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It is commonly referred to as 'Heartleaf Philodendron'.
As an epiphyte, it prefers very well draining soil and will be more prolific if grown on some sort of grow pole where it can send roots out to stabilize itself.
